Schedule Your Diagnostic Ultrasound
A physician order is required for all diagnostic ultrasound exams. Here’s how scheduling works:
1 — Provider sends an order
Have your healthcare provider fax the completed order to our office using our diagnostic ultrasound order form.

2 — We contact you to schedule
Once we receive the provider order, our team will contact you to schedule your appointment and review any prep instructions.
3 — Prefer to book online?
You may also book online at any time. If we already have your provider order on file, we’ll confirm the details and prep with you.
Exams We Offer
We offer a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound exams (excluding echocardiography). All exams require a provider order.

Patient Prep Instructions
Prep depends on the exam your provider ordered. We’ll confirm your specific instructions when we schedule you.
NPO (nothing to eat)
For abdominal exams:
No food or drink for 6–8 hours before your appointment.
Small sips of water are okay to take medications.
Full bladder
For pelvic, renal, and OB exams:
Drink at least 32 oz of water
Finish water 1 hour before appt.
Renal & OB follow-up: 24 oz
Finish water 1 hour before
Do not urinate before your exam
No prep required
Some exams require no special preparation — you may eat and drink normally unless your provider instructed otherwise.

Results & Reporting
Results are sent to your ordering provider and uploaded to your patient portal within 24 hours.
You’ll receive an email with instructions to activate your patient portal after your exam. Once activated, you can log in anytime to view results.
If you don’t see the portal email, check spam/junk or call/text us and we’ll help.
All diagnostic exams are interpreted by a board-certified radiologist.
If you’re having severe symptoms or think you’re experiencing an emergency, call 911 or go to the ER.
Insurance & payment options
We accept many insurance plans and will bill your insurance for diagnostic ultrasound exams. Coverage and patient responsibility vary by plan. We do not verify benefits in advance.
We bill your insurance as a courtesy.
We do not verify benefits—your insurance can provide the most accurate estimate.
After insurance processes the claim, we’ll send a statement for any remaining patient responsibility.

No. Diagnostic ultrasound exams are medical studies ordered by a healthcare provider and interpreted by a radiologist. Elective ultrasounds are not medical diagnostic exams.
