Ultrasound Exam Preparation Instructions
Getting ready for your ultrasound at Reveal Ultrasound Studio & Spa? Proper preparation helps us obtain the best possible images for your examination.
Find your ultrasound exam below and review the preparation instructions before your appointment. Different exams may require fasting, drinking water, or having a full bladder.

Drink 32 oz of water and finish drinking 1 hour before your appointment.
Do not urinate before your ultrasound. Arrive with a comfortably full bladder.
If transvaginal imaging is included, you will be asked to empty your bladder before that portion of the exam.

Preparation: No Special Preparation Required
No special preparation is needed for a transvaginal ultrasound. You may eat and drink normally.
A full bladder is not required. You will be asked to empty your bladder before the examination.
